12 Years in Thailand

In 1997 I moved to Thailand. After living there for 12 years and then returning to the states, I feel I have already lived two lifetimes.

At sunset, the red bricks glowed when the sun finally peaked through the clouds. An all-day rainstorm had soaked the bricks of The Chaing Mai wat. What more wonders and enchantments does Thailand have?

After their demonstration, these war elephants pose for photographs afterward. It's not real blood, but only red paint.

There's always another door to enter. What lies behind this one?

Best of Bangkok Jungle

Around 2007, I founded a website called Bangkok Jungle. The goal was to start an online entertainment magazine for English-speaking foreigners who lived in Bangkok. We started with the music scene, and we grew popular with the foreigners. However, we could not garner any advertising to pay our expenses, and I sold Bangkok Jungle to a blogger.

As the founder of the original Bangkok Jungle website, I was the photographer, writer, and site designer. The photos below represent my best of the Bangkok Jungle.
